I see a huge difference in the average quality of Blue Cats out of Truman compared to Grand Lake. I can only guess that the difference is the liberal regualtions and limits on Grand. The lake is full of trash from trotlines and jugs and the fish seem to run smaller on the average. Antecdotal, I know, but that's my observation. Osage Bluff Fishing Report 8/30/18 Cut bait worked the best but we did have fish on live bait as well. Jugs fished on the flats in 12' to 15' of water with baits set about 10' is another good bite. Also rod and reel drift fishing on the flats close to creek channel drop offs with live shad fished about 8' has produced some big fish. { I sure hate this slot limit, just sayin.
